Staff Accountants are entry level staff with 0-3 years of accounting experience and typically in the process of sitting for the CPA exam. They will work on projects along side senior staff and will have a mentor to help teach and guide them along their career path.
Staff Accountants can expect to perform the following:
Tax
- Prepare workpapers
- Individual tax returns
- Business tax returns
- Tax basis compilations
- Conduct research for preparation of technical memorandums
Audit
- Audit engagements at client locations (no overnight travel) in the areas of cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payroll and expense analysis.
- Tax returns for the A & A jobs they are working on
- Business tax returns
